PLC Training Cost Compared: UAE vs India vs UK vs Saudi Arabia (2026)
By ED Wartens UAE Team

How much does PLC training cost around the world?

Indicatively, a comprehensive PLC and SCADA programme runs roughly AED 1,900–14,000 in the UAE, considerably less in India, and substantially more in the UK. The spread is driven by local salaries and operating costs, not by course quality — the same Siemens and Allen-Bradley syllabus is taught in all four markets.

What are the indicative ranges?

Why don't UAE providers publish prices?

An audit of six UAE providers in 2026 found that none published a course fee on its own website — every one gated pricing behind an enquiry form. Some genuinely price per corporate delegate. But it makes comparison impossible, which is often the point. We publish ours: AED 9,995 plus 5% VAT, AED 10,495 total.

Does it make sense to travel for cheaper training?

Rarely, once you total the real cost. A cheaper course in another country adds flights, accommodation, time off work and often a visa. More importantly, training in the market where you want to work builds the local context employers ask about — which plants, which standards, which employers. That context does not travel well.

Is VAT included in advertised prices?

Usually not, and no provider in the audit stated its VAT treatment. UAE VAT is 5%; Saudi Arabia is 15%; Qatar and Kuwait currently have none. Always ask whether a quoted figure is inclusive — on a five-figure fee the difference is material. Our published total is inclusive.

What should the fee actually buy?

  • Hands-on time on real controllers, not only simulation
  • A capped cohort so the hardware is actually available to you
  • Both major platforms — Siemens and Allen-Bradley — not one vendor
  • A certificate with a verifiable number
  • Recorded material you keep
